In the 25th of January 2009 the First meeting of professional cartoonists has been held in the Iranian House of Cartoon. This meeting has been held by the presence of Gholamali Latifi,Kambiz Derambakhsh,Touka Neyestani,Bahman Abdi,Bahram Azimi,Javad Alizadeh,Mohammadali Baniasadi,Mohammad Amin Aghai,Massoud Ziai,Massoud Shojai Tabatabai,
Hossein Safi,Hadi Hehdari,Rahim Baghal Asghari,Bozorgmehr Hosseinpour,
Kiyarash Zandi, and Sadegh Bagheri.

They spoke about the 9th Biennial subjects.

At the end of this meeting the idea of ?Fear? that was suggested by
Mr. Javad Alizadeh, has been chosen for the main subject
of the 9th Tehran Biennial International Cartoon contest.

In the caricature of portrait section the idea of ?Political portraits? has been selected. In the Comic Strip section the subject ?Free? has been chosen.
